- Russia flexes it dormant muscles and seizes former chunk of the USSR with brutal relish
- Islamic separatists displace 130,000 Filipinos - a humanitarian disaster looms
- oh yeah, two wars still cooking and the U.S. was just bumped by China as the biggest manufacturer.
